The Irwin County Indians basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Cook Hornets to 44 in the Indians non-league victory on Saturday.
The Indians now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berrien for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Irwin County will battle a Rebels team coming off a 58-30 non-league loss to Clinch County (Homerville, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-5.
The Hornets (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Brooks County was defeated by Lanier County (Lakeland, GA), 50-48, in a non-league contest.
