New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins (South Yarmouth, MA), 68-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Bedford upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Whalers travel to Boston English (Boston, MA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Dolphins clash with the Monomoy Sharks (Harwich, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Sharks go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 55-38 non-league win over Upper Cape Cod RVT (Bourne, MA).
