In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Gilmer Bobcats basketball team scored a decisive 68-38 triumph over the Fannin County Rebels.
In their next game, the Bobcats meet the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) in a AAA Region 7 match, on Tuesday, December 13. Gilmer will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 49-41 league loss to West Hall (Oakwood, GA).
With the defeat, Fannin County moves to 1-6 on the year. The Rebels travel to North Murray (Chatsworth, GA) to meet the Mountaineers in a AA Region 7 match on Tuesday, December 13. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 6-0. North Murray won 96-63 in their recent league match against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA)
