Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY), 60-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Owen County upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Rebels host Gallatin County (Warsaw, KY) to clash with the Wildcats in a District 31 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Gallatin County won 69-59 in their recent league bout against Eminence (Eminence, KY)

Next up, the Braves clash with the Oldham County Colonels (Buckner, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Grant County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Colonels go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 78-74 non-league win over Woodford County (Versailles, KY).
