Libertyville Wildcats (Libertyville, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), 48-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Libertyville upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL) to play the Bears in a North Suburban bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Lake Zurich won 69-40 in their recent league bout against Zion-Benton (Zion, IL)

Next up, the Scouts play the Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) in a North Suburban bout, on Thursday, December 15. Lake Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 53-45 league win over Warren Township (Gurnee, IL).
