Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Lee Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Pandas travel to Schenck (East Millinocket, ME) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Schenck lost 34-31 in their recent league bout against Machias (Machias, ME)

Next up, the Pirates play the Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Piscataquis will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 59-37 non-league win over Shead (Eastport, ME).
