Georgia High School Basketball - Montgomery County edged by Wheeler County

The Montgomery County Eagles basketball team (Mt. Vernon, GA), was nudged 46-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Wheeler County Bulldogs (Alamo, GA)

The Bulldogs now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilcox County for a A D2 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, December 13. Wheeler County will confront a Patriots team coming off a 58-57 league loss to Dooly County (Vienna, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-3.

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Jeff Davis was tipped by Appling County (Baxley, GA), 67-65, in a non-league challenge.
