In Saturday's league outing, the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV), by a count of 80-53.

The Maroon Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Frontier (New Matamoras, OH). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Frontier was crushed by Fort Frye (Beverly, OH), 46-31, in a non-league outing.
