Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Smithfield knocks off Cranston West

The Smithfield Sentinels trounced the visiting Cranston West Falcons ice hockey squad by a count of 10-0 in Saturday's league game.

In their next game, the Sentinels battle the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI) in a State Championship Division game, on Saturday, December 17. Smithfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Cranston West moves to 0-1 on the season. The Falcons host Barrington (Barrington, RI) to battle the Eagles in a State Championship Division game on Friday, December 16. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-2.
