Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Vanden Vikings (Fairfield, CA), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rodriguez upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Benicia (Benicia, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Vikings play the Campolindo Cougars (Moraga, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Vanden will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 58-54 non-league win over Alhambra (Martinez, CA).
