The Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) basketball edged the visiting Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY), 63-57 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Bluejackets now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Paul Laurence Dunbar for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 14. Nicholas County will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-38 non-league win over Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Augusta falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to play the Polar Bears in a District 39 bout on Friday, December 13. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-2.
