The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Utica Academy of Science Atoms (Utica, NY) and the host Canastota Red Raiders (Canastota, NY), observed Utica Academy of Science's basketball team overwhelm Canastota by a score of 83-44.

The Atoms (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Markham (West Winfield, NY). The Mustangs come into the Section 3 Center State I challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Markham was routed by Cazenovia (Cazenovia, NY), 69-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Raiders encounter the Little Falls Mounties (Little Falls, NY) in a Section 3 Center State I challenge, on Friday, December 13. Canastota will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Mounties come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 54-46 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NY).
