In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Watervliet Cannoneers basketball team scored a big 60-34 triumph over the Chatham Panthers.

The Cannoneers (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Maple Hill (Castleton on Hudson, NY). The Wildcats go into the Section 2 Patroon contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Maple Hill smashed Coxsackie-Athens (Coxsackie, NY), 54-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Hudson Ridge Thunder Chicken (Albany, NY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Chatham will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Thunder Chicken go into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 87-42 non-league win over Warrensburg (Warrensburg, NY).
