In Tuesday's league contest, the host Durant Lions basketball team scored a close 56-55 triumph over the McAlester Buffaloes.

The Lions (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pryor (Pryor, OK). The Tigers go into the 5A District 4 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Pryor was tipped by Will Rogers College (Tulsa, OK), 70-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Buffaloes battle the Sapulpa Chieftains (Sapulpa, OK) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. McAlester will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Chieftains go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 78-60 league loss to Edmond North (Edmond, OK).
