In Tuesday's league test, the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) basketball squad defeated the visiting North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), by a final score of 54-45.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA) in a Raccoon River test, on Friday, December 13. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Toreadors come into the test with a 3-1 record after their 68-54 league loss to Ballard (Huxley, IA).

The Comets (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Lynx come into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Webster City overcame South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA), 49-46, in a non-league test.
