    The Grimsley Whirlies basketball squad (Greensboro, NC), was nudged 57-55 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC)

    With the victory, Northwest Guilford advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to North Davidson (Lexington, NC) to meet the Black Knights in a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 11. The Black Knights enter the battle with a record of 4-0. North Davidson won 54-36 in their recent non-league battle against West Davidson (Lexington, NC)

    The Whirlies now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ragsdale for a 4A Metro battle on Friday, December 13. Grimsley will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 51-47 non-league win over Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.
