The Plainsmen now possess a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tascosa for a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, December 13. Monterey will play a Rebels team coming off a 72-56 non-league win over Hillcrest (Dallas, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Lubbock falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Westerners host Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to play the Sandies in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, December 13.
