North Carolina High School Basketball - Mountain Island Charter holds off Valor Preparatory Academy

The Mountain Island Charter Raptors basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls to 64 in the Raptors non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Raptors now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cherryville for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 11. Mountain Island Charter will confront a Ironmen team coming off a 78-50 non-league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Valor Preparatory Academy falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a 1A Metro 8 game on Friday, December 13. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 6-2. Sugar Creek Charter won 110-28 in their recent non-league game against Carolina Christian (Locust, NC)
