In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team scored a good 56-46 win over the Starmount Rams.

The Blackhawks (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles come into the 2A Foothills contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Surry Central defeated Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 75-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 11. Starmount will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 55-53 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC).
