Nevada High School Basketball - Awaken Christian nips Laughlin

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Awaken Christian Lions basketball team scored a close 40-35 triumph over the Laughlin Cougars.

The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Mead Christian Academy (Henderson, NV). The Eagles go into the 2A Southern contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Lake Mead Christian Academy nipped Adelson (Las Vegas, NV), 51-18, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Lincoln County Lynx (Panaca, NV) in a 2A Southern contest, on Friday, December 13. Laughlin will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Lynx go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 53-48 non-league win over Moapa Valley (Overton, NV).
