Arkansas High School Basketball - Marvell Academy holds off Calhoun Academy

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Marvell Academy Eagles basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the Calhoun Academy Cougars.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against DeSoto (West Helena, AR). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, DeSoto nipped North Sunflower Academy (Drew, MS), 67-13, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Briarfield Academy Rebels (Lake Providence, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Calhoun Academy will attempt to better on its 12-6 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 7-0 record after their 50-23 non-league win over Tallulah Academy (Tallulah, LA).
