Next, the Owls clash with the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 test, on Friday, December 13. Joshua will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Elks come into the test with a 4-11 record after their 40-29 league loss to Centennial (Burleson, TX).

The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars come into the 5A Region I District 8 test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Mansfield Summit overcame Cleburne (Cleburne, TX), 50-40, in a league test.
