In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting West Hancock Eagles basketball team scored a close 42-36 win over the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, North Union was tipped by Forest City (Forest City, IA), 57-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Belmond-Klemme Broncos (Belmond, IA) in a North Iowa challenge, on Friday, December 13. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
