The Hokes Bluff Eagles basketball team scored 39 points and limited the host Gaston Bulldogs to 30 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Ashville for a 4A Area 11 game on Thursday, December 12. Hokes Bluff will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 75-31 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Gaston falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL) to confront the Wildcats in a 2A Area 13 game on Friday, December 13. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 9-2. Sand Rock won 60-12 in their recent non-league game against Ragland (Ragland, AL)
