The George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) basketball toppled the visiting John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA), 58-43 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Maroons now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Galax for a Mountain Empire bout on Friday, December 13. George Wythe will play a Maroon Tide team coming off a 45-23 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, John Battle falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA) to play the Wolfpack in a Mountain bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 1-1.
