The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Marfa Shorthorns (Marfa, TX) and the host Valentine Pirates (Valentine, TX), observed Marfa's basketball team overwhelm Valentine by a margin of 66-7.

The Shorthorns (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Immanuel Christian (El Paso, TX). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Immanuel Christian trounced Sierra Blanca (Sierra Blanca, TX), 33-22, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Fort Davis Indians (Fort Davis, TX) in a 1A Region II District 9 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Valentine will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
