The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting John Battle Trojans to 26 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Maroons now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Galax for a non-league game on Friday, December 13. George Wythe will confront a Maroon Tide team coming off a 55-8 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, John Battle falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA) to confront the Wolfpack in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Wolfpack go into the game with a record of 0-0.
