The Weldon Chargers basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Northampton County Jaguars to 33 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wilson Prep for a game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Northampton County falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 2-0. Roanoke Rapids won 71-15 in their recent non-league game against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC)
