In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Vance Charter Knights basketball team scored a tight 73-67 victory over the South Granville Vikings.

With the victory, Vance Charter advances its record to 4-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Friday, December 12. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 6-3. Franklin Academy won 73-36 in their recent league match against Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC)

The Vikings now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Durham for a non-league match on Thursday, December 11. South Granville will face a Knights squad coming off a 86-65 non-league loss to Williams (Burlington, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
