Panama Panthers (Panama, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cassadaga Valley Cougars (Sinclairville, NY), 68-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Panama upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Panthers host Westfield (Westfield, NY) to play the Wolverines in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West bout on Thursday, December 14. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Westfield won 74-70 in their recent non-league bout against Olean (Olean, NY)

Next up, the Cougars play the Gowanda Panthers (Gowanda, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - I East bout, on Thursday, December 14. Cassadaga Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 66-41 non-league loss to Eden (Eden, NY).
