Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES (Roanoke, VA) supporters were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 51-34 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Roanoke Valley Christian improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The EAGLES host Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA) to confront the Knights in a Virginia Christian - Southwest challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Christian Heritage Academy won 61-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Boys' Home (Covington, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 44-41 non-league win over James River (Buchanan, VA).
