Etowah Blue Devils (Attalla, AL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Westbrook Christian Warriors (Rainbow City, AL), 60-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Etowah upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 10-0. Fort Payne won 47-44 in their recent league bout against Oxford (Oxford, AL)

Next up, the Warriors play the Ohatchee Indians (Ohatchee, AL) in a 3A Area 12 bout, on Friday, December 15. Westbrook Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 48-37 league loss to Hokes Bluff (Hokes Bluff, AL).
