With the win, Mahnomen/Waubun upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (Fergus Falls, MN) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Thursday, December 14. Fosston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 84-44 non-league win over Lake Park-Audubon (Lake Park, MN).
