South Carolina High School Basketball - Pelion can't hold off Gilbert

The Gilbert Indians basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Pelion Panthers to 37 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

The Indians now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenwood for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Gilbert will battle a Eagles team coming off a 67-59 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 6-1.

The Panthers (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Swansea (Swansea, SC). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Swansea was nudged by Edisto (Cordova, SC), 49-11, in a non-league contest.
