Ohio High School Basketball - Buckeye Local can't hold off Monroe Central

The Monroe Central Seminoles basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Buckeye Local Panthers to 52 in the Seminoles league triumph on Monday.
The Seminoles now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caldwell for a Mid-Ohio Valley contest on Thursday, December 14. Monroe Central will battle a Redskins team coming off a 56-51 non-league loss to Frontier (New Matamoras, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 3-3.
The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against River (Hannibal, OH). The Pilots enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, River was nudged by Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH), 58-53, in a non-league contest.
