Jasper Pirates (Jasper, AR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Deer Antlers (Deer, AR), 84-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jasper upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Lead Hill (Lead Hill, AR) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 1 East bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 0-19. Lead Hill lost 78-21 in their recent league bout against Kingston (Kingston, AR)

Next up, the Antlers play the Mountain Home Christian Academy Eagles (Mountain Home, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Deer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 50-33 non-league loss to Mid-Missouri HomeSchool (Jefferson City, MO).
