Illinois High School Basketball - Heyworth can't hold off Fieldcrest

The Fieldcrest Knights basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Heyworth Hornets to 49 in the Knights league triumph on Monday.
The Knights now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eureka for a Heart Of Illinois contest on Thursday, December 14. Fieldcrest will battle a Hornets team coming off a 57-35 league win over Ridgeview (Colfax, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 5-5.
The Hornets (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL). The Hilltoppers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Mt. Pulaski was nudged by Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL), 43-36, in a non-league contest.
