Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 68-7 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA) to clash with the Knights in a River Ridge bout on Friday, December 15. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Cave Spring lost 60-40 in their recent league bout against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA)

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Glenvar will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 65-21 league loss to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA).
