The New Utrecht Utes basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Roosevelt Cougars to 13 in the Utes league triumph on Monday.

The Utes now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Hamilton for a PSAL AAAA Brooklyn I contest on Friday, December 15. New Utrecht will battle a Tigers team coming off a 93-22 non-league loss to Grand Street Campus (Brooklyn, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

The Cougars (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against John Jay (Cross River, NY). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, John Jay triumphed over Brooklyn Tech (Brooklyn, NY), 57-47, in a non-league contest.
