The Seneca Fighting Irish basketball team (Seneca, IL), was overwhelmed 58-29 in Monday's league battle with the host St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL)

The Bruins now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Earlville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 13. St. Bede will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 41-40 league win over Illinois Math & Science Academy (Aurora, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 2-7.

The Fighting Irish (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Newark (Newark, IL). The Norsemen come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Newark trounced Somonauk/Leland (Somonauk, IL), 56-16, in a league battle.
