The Carlsbad Cavemen basketball team scored 23 points and held the visiting Loving Falcons to 21 in the Cavemen non-league triumph on Monday.
The Cavemen now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gadsden for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 13. Carlsbad will meet a Panthers team coming off a 43-9 non-league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
The Falcons (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Artesia (Artesia, NM). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Artesia was nudged by Clovis (Clovis, NM), 46-17, in a non-league contest.
