James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wando Warriors (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 32-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, James Island upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Trojans host Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC) to play the Swamp Foxes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Swamp Foxes go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Ashley Ridge won 17-3 in their recent non-league bout against Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Warriors play the West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) in a bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Wando will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 28-14 league win over Stratford (Goose Creek, SC).
