The Great Mills Hornets basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Calvert Cavaliers to 36 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chopticon for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 13. Great Mills will battle a Braves team coming off a 55-7 non-league win over King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD). The Braves record now stands at 3-0.

The Cavaliers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, La Plata triumphed over Surrattsville (Clinton, MD), 74-12, in a non-league contest.
