The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD) basketball edged the visiting Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD), 53-51 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Curley for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will play a Friars team coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to New Hope Academy National (Landover Hills, MD). The Friars record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Mount St. Joseph falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Gaels host Gilman (Baltimore, MD) to play the Greyhounds in a MIAA A - Black contest on Friday, December 20. The Greyhounds go into the contest with a record of 0-2.
