In Wednesday's non-league test, the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) basketball team ran past the visiting Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), by a margin of 39-28.

The Red Devils (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees go into the Seminole contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Brookville was toppled by Chatham (Chatham, VA), 36-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders confront the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) in a Dogwood contest, on Friday, December 13. Appomattox County will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 58-23 non-league win over Halifax County (South Boston, VA).
