The Independence Tigers basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Kentwood Kangaroos to 46 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Hermon for a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. Independence will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 75-8 non-league loss to Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-7.

With the loss, Kentwood falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Kangaroos host Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Friday, December 13. The Indians go into the game with a record of 6-4. Istrouma won 51-8 in their recent non-league game against St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA)
