The Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) basketball were winner over the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA), 62-43 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Golden Eagles now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Cave Spring for a non-league bout on Monday, December 16. Staunton River will play a Knights team coming off a 60-51 non-league win over Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Jefferson Forest falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Heritage (Lynchburg, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Seminole bout on Friday, December 13. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Heritage won 52-47 in their recent non-league bout against George Washington (Danville, VA)
