In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting West Carteret Patriots basketball team scored a good 38-18 triumph over the Pamlico County Hurricanes.
The Patriots (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Havelock (Havelock, NC). The Rams go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Havelock was toppled by Swansboro (Swansboro, NC), 33-23, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hurricanes confront the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Pamlico County will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
