The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball edged the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 36-33 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Titans now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they host T.C. Roberson for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. McDowell will play a Rams team coming off a 67-48 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, East Rutherford falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Chase won 45-40 in their recent non-league bout against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)
