The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) and the host Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC), observed Pisgah's basketball team edge Erwin by a margin of 39-36.
The Bears (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Smoky Mountain edged Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 54-27, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Erwin will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
